The U.S. Entrepreneurship Certification Examination (certificate and digital badge included) is cross-walked with the competencies in Virginia's CTE entrepreneurship courses.
The free exam manual includes details on the credential administrators and partners, optional stackable credentials, examination information and administration, examination blueprint and resources, entrepreneurship competencies, and ordering. The manual is available on the CTECS website.
The exam resources package includes a detailed study guide (28-pages), two practice exams (118 questions each), a reading guide (free entrepreneurship e-textbook for students with teacher resources), vocabulary list (covers 12 entrepreneurship content areas on the exam), and an exam taker guide (Pitsco’s E-SESS online assessment platform instructions).
The Online Entrepreneurship Institute for High School Teachers is free for Virginia teachers and is aligned with the U.S. Entrepreneurship Certification Examination, equipping teachers with the content knowledge, instructional strategies, curriculum, and 400+ classroom-ready resources that they need to prepare high school students to pass the exam. Three hours of university undergraduate or graduate credit is optional.
