The AWS SENSE program is a comprehensive set of minimum standards and guidelines established by AWS for welding educators to follow when developing their welding training curriculum.. Schools can incorporate SENSE into their own curriculum in order to help attain Perkins funding as well as to help ensure an education that is consistent with other SENSE schools across the nation, and is aligned to industry standards. While comprehensive, these standards are also flexible enough that almost any welding program will readily be able to implement them. Their students earn AWS credentials and their names are listed in the SENSE Training Database for verification upon program completion. Instructors have access to SENSEOnline.org, a centralized assessment platform, for exam administration and automatic test results
