Identification should include
- the types of fires encountered in the diesel technology field (Class A, B, C, D, and E) and the hazards and the precautions associated with each type of fire
- the locations and types of fire safety equipment (including various types of extinguishers as well as their use and identification of relevant signage and labels)
- fire emergency procedures in accordance with government regulations, building specifications, and instructor's guidelines
- knowledge of the procedures for using fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment.
