In this course, students will analyze energy sources and explore generation, transmission, and distribution of energy, using the Energy Industry Fundamentals modules from the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD). Students will earn the OSHA 10 safety certification and acquire skills in math, science, and technical-writing through real-world application to prepare for energy-related careers. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

Students have an opportunity to take the Energy Industry Fundamentals Certificate Assessment.
