Introduction to Interior Design
Students explore influences on the design of interior spaces, investigate careers in the interior design industry, and focus on the technical and soft skills necessary for employment in the interior design profession. Students develop an interior design project that meets specific criteria and includes the elements and principles of design. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
