This course enables students to understand the uses of biotechnology in the fields of plant and animal agriculture, the environment, and food science. Students develop occupational skills in agricultural biotechnology and have opportunities to apply the skills and concepts needed for careers in biotechnology. The course provides students with the knowledge to make balanced judgments regarding the benefits and concerns posed by agricultural biotechnology. The students are involved in many research and application activities.
