Course Description:
Students obtain the basic knowledge and skills to perform the upkeep of commercial and public buildings and grounds through hands-on training in disinfection and sanitation, building repairs, basic electrical work, minor plumbing, and grounds maintenance. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) provides experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
