Exploring concepts, trends, challenges, and careers, students will build an understanding of energy, from source to end-user. Students participate in hands-on activities, such as illustrating and modeling electrical grids, gas systems, and other renewable- and nonrenewable-energy systems. Students explore markets, grid modernization, efficiency, innovation, and careers in energy. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
